We’re pleased to announce that Spencer Ogden has been shortlisted for Best ESG Strategy at this year’s Recruiter Awards - a recognition of the real, measurable impact of our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy.
From upskilling our teams on ESG principles to embedding climate risk management in our operations, we’ve spent the past year turning our sustainability commitments into action. And we’re excited to be recognised on one of the industry’s biggest stages.
ESG That Powers Progress
As a global recruitment partner in Sustainability, Infrastructure, and Natural Resources, ESG is a cornerstone of our business strategy. In 2024, we aligned our commercial goals with our ESG objectives under one unifying ambition: to be the global Sustainability Staffing Leader. That means:
- Increasing revenue from sustainable markets (59% in 2024 - and growing)
- Publishing our first-ever public ESG Report
- Establishing a Net Zero by 2035 target and roadmap
- Upskilling all staff through a global ESG training framework
- Launching the IMPACT ESG newsletter, now with over 110,000 subscribers
Measurable Impact, Real Results
This year, our teams have:
- Increased volunteering days by 108%, with global initiatives from beach cleans to food banks
- Removed 1,700kg of ocean plastic through our partnership with Seven Clean Seas - and pledged to remove 1kg for every job placed
- Donated over $2,500 to rainforest protection through our peer recognition programme
- Achieved ISO 14001 accreditation, streamlining our environmental governance
We’re also proud to be reporting in line with TCFD guidelines, ensuring we proactively manage climate risks and opportunities - well ahead of regulatory requirements.

Behind these results is a clear governance framework and passionate teams driving it forward. From our ESG and Energy Champions Committees to ISO-aligned management systems, we’ve created the infrastructure for long-term, high-integrity ESG performance.
Crucially, our ESG initiatives aren’t just making us better as a business, they’re also helping our clients meet their own sustainability goals. Our consultants are now better equipped than ever to align with client values and deliver commercial value in the process.
