Senior Project Construction Manager – EPC Projects

The Opportunity
As a Senior Construction Manager – EPC Projects, you will take overall responsibility for the successful execution of construction activities on complex, high-value EPC projects. Based full-time on site, you will lead construction delivery, coordinate contractors and subcontractors, manage site execution, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
Acting as a senior construction representative on site, you will provide leadership across all construction disciplines, ensuring effective coordination between project management, engineering, procurement, commissioning teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for the safe, timely, high-quality, and cost-efficient execution of construction activities on complex EPC projects.
Lead and manage all site construction activities from mobilisation and pre-construction planning through execution, commissioning support, and final handover.
Act as the senior construction representative on site, driving delivery performance and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
Coordinate and manage contractors, subcontractors, site teams, consultants, and project stakeholders to achieve programme, quality, safety, and productivity targets.
Establish effective site management processes, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and collaboration across all project disciplines.
Ensure all construction activities comply with Health, Safety and Environmental (EHS) standards, applicable regulations, building codes, and project-specific requirements.
Monitor construction progress, conduct regular site inspections, and proactively identify risks, delays, quality issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Lead daily coordination meetings, progress reviews, and site planning sessions to maintain control of construction activities.
Apply lean construction principles to improve workflow reliability, reduce waste, optimise productivity, and support continuous improvement.
Review construction methodologies, sequencing plans, resource requirements, and contractor performance to maximise delivery efficiency.
Ensure effective coordination of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and specialist construction activities.
Work closely with engineering, procurement, commissioning, and client teams to resolve technical and delivery challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage quality control processes, inspections, acceptance procedures, defect tracking, and construction close-out activities.
Support commissioning, testing, and final project handover by ensuring completion milestones, documentation, and client requirements are achieved.
Provide regular reporting on construction progress, programme performance, risks, mitigation actions, and key project milestones.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Foster a high-performance site culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Your Expertise
Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience managing construction delivery on large-scale industrial, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, battery, data centre, or other technically complex EPC projects.
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary construction teams within a site-based project environment.
Strong understanding of construction management principles, contractor management, project controls, quality management, and site execution.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex programmes, multiple work fronts, subcontractors, and project interfaces.
Experience coordinating multiple construction disciplines, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and specialist systems.
Experience delivering greenfield and/or brownfield projects within technically demanding environments.
Strong knowledge of construction regulations, safety requirements, quality standards, and project delivery processes.
Experience supporting commissioning, completion, and handover activities on complex facilities projects.
Ability to identify issues, implement effective solutions, and drive delivery in fast-paced project environments.
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working within international and multicultural project teams is highly desirable.
Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
