GBR Electrical Supervisor

The Role


As Electrical Supervisor, you'll support the Site Manager by leading small teams, coordinating daily site activities, and ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

Supervise electrical installation activities on a live substation project.

Lead and coordinate site teams across multiple work fronts.

Ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.

Plan labour, materials, plant, and engineering information to maintain project progress.

Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and other work parties to ensure effective coordination.

Promote and maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance.

Assist with site documentation, task cards, progress reporting, and project milestones.

Identify and communicate potential delays or risks to the Site Manager.

Essential Experience

Previous experience supervising electrical installation works within substations, power transmission, power generation, utilities, or similar heavy industrial environments.

Experience working on Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) projects.

Strong understanding of safe systems of work and site coordination.

Ability to lead teams and maintain excellent safety standards.

SSSTS or SMSTS

CSCS or ECS Card

First Aid at Work (3-Day)

Fire Marshal / Fire Safety Awareness

Apprentice trained or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent electrical qualification)

What We're Looking For

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Proactive approach to planning and problem-solving.

Experience coordinating site teams on large infrastructure projects.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

A positive attitude with a strong focus on safety and quality.
