Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the mechanical design aspects of data centre projects, ensuring that they are delivered to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical design of data centre projects from concept to completion
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers
  • Work closely with other members of the design team to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Manage client relationships and expectations throughout the project lifecycle

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on data centre projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, cooling technologies, and energy efficiency principles
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
