A few important points about the role
This is a site-based construction management role, rather than a purely office-based project management position. It involves overseeing construction work, coordinating contractors and monitoring quality, costs and schedules.
German construction experience is a key requirement. The employer specifically asks for several years of professional and on-site experience in Germany, along with knowledge of German construction law and the VOB.
The role includes commercial responsibilities. Cost control, invoices, variations, contract awards and monthly financial reviews form part of the job.
Excellent German is essential. The requirement for very good German and English suggests that you will need to communicate confidently with contractors, clients and project stakeholders in both languages.
Travel is expected. Although the advertised location is Düsseldorf, the role requires a willingness to travel within Germany.
One additional note: “m/f/d” stands for male/female/diverse and indicates that the position is open to applicants of all genders.
