QA/QC Engineer – High Voltage Systems

Location: Cyberjaya, Selangor
Contract Duration: 12-month contract - renewable

Are you passionate about delivering quality in high-voltage (HV) substation projects?
We are seeking a skilled QA/QC Engineer to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance across all phases of HV substation engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Quality Execution:
    • Implement project quality plans, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and inspection procedures for HV systems.
    • Ensure all engineering deliverables and site works comply with company and IEC standards.
    • Support quality risk assessments and mitigation actions.
  • Inspection & Testing:
    • Conduct inspections of incoming HV materials and equipment (GIS, AIS, transformers, switchgear).
    • Perform site quality checks during installation, testing, and commissioning.
    • Support FAT/SAT activities and verify compliance with technical specifications.
  • Non-Conformance & CAPA Management:
    • Identify, document, and track non-conformances (NCRs).
    • Support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
    • Ensure timely closure of NCRs.
  • Supplier Quality Support:
    • Assist in supplier qualification and audits for HV components.
    • Monitor supplier performance and verify compliance of delivered materials.
  • Quality Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test results, and audit documentation.
    • Provide regular updates on quality status, risks, and improvement actions.
    • Ensure documentation is audit-ready and compliant with QMS requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with engineering, project management, procurement, and site teams.
    • Support customer inspections and acceptance processes.
    • Communicate quality issues clearly and propose actionable solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field
  • 3–7 years’ experience in HV substation projects (GIS/AIS)
  • Experience in QA/QC roles within EPC, OEM, or utility environments
  • Knowledge of IEC standards and HV testing procedures
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and QMS processes
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills

Working Conditions

  • Based in Cyberjaya, Selangor
  • Frequent interaction with suppliers, site teams, and commissioning engineers
  • Requires hands-on inspection and testing at HV substations
