Spencer Ogden is supporting a leading energy technology client in the search for experienced Quality Engineers – Manufacturing Quality (Electrical) to support large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Europe.
We are looking for hands-on quality professionals with a strong electrical manufacturing background and proven experience driving quality assurance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement within industrial or energy environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate manufacturing quality engineering activities across suppliers, manufacturers, and project teams.
Drive resolution of quality issues through structured root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).
Monitor and enforce compliance with internal quality standards, engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Manage and review non-conformance processes including NCRs, CAPAs, JIRAs, and related quality documentation.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Site teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Track, analyse, and report manufacturing quality performance metrics and trends.
Lead lessons learned workshops with internal and external stakeholders to improve future project execution.
Conduct supplier and contract manufacturer audits and follow through on corrective actions.
Support quality assurance activities across manufacturing, delivery, installation, and service phases of BESS projects.
Candidate Requirements
8–12 years’ experience within manufacturing quality engineering, ideally in the energy, electrical, or industrial sectors.
Strong experience with electrical component assemblies and subassemblies.
Proven expertise in quality assurance processes, non-conformance management, and root cause analysis.
Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards.
Experience working with suppliers and contract manufacturers in complex production environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Demonstrated experience implementing proactive quality systems and risk management frameworks.
Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across international teams.
Experience supporting product lifecycle integration, change control, and quality validation processes.
Welding and painting quality oversight experience is considered advantageous.
ISO 9001 Auditor certification is beneficial.
Language Requirements
Professional fluency in English is essential.
Dutch or German language skills (B2 level or above) would be advantageous.
Additional Information
Hybrid working model based in Amsterdam.
Travel required to manufacturing facilities and BESS project sites.
Immediate start preferred.
