Quality Manager – Power Generation / Wind Energy


Location: Spain – Site-Based

Contract: Contract

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Approximately 4–5 months, until completion of the next major overhaul

Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–7:00 pm, with occasional Saturday morning work


The Opportunity


Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to support a critical power generation project in Spain, working within a demanding operational environment involving major maintenance and overhaul activities.


This opportunity is suited to a Spanish-speaking quality professional with experience in power generation, wind energy or related industrial environments. The successful candidate will work closely with project management, engineering, maintenance and site teams to support quality performance, coordinate technical issues and help ensure activities are delivered safely and to the required standards.


The role also offers the opportunity to broaden project management capabilities through involvement in major outage planning and execution.


Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate quality activities across site operations, engineering, maintenance and project teams.

Monitor quality performance, KPIs, risks, non-conformances and corrective actions, ensuring timely resolution.

Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to address technical issues, minimise delays and maintain project schedules.

Support major maintenance, overhaul, commissioning and outage-related activities.

Ensure quality processes and project deliverables align with applicable standards, contractual requirements and site procedures.

Collaborate with HSE personnel to support safe working practices, including activities involving confined spaces and working at height.

Provide progress updates, escalate critical issues and support continuous improvement across site operations.

Requirements

Proven experience in a Quality Manager, Project Quality Manager, Quality Lead or similar role.

Background in power generation, wind energy, turbines, energy infrastructure or heavy industrial engineering.

Strong understanding of quality management systems, root cause analysis, non-conformance management and corrective actions.

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and resolving issues in time-critical operational environments.

Exposure to commissioning, maintenance, plant overhauls or outage activities would be highly advantageous.

Knowledge of site HSE procedures, including confined-space working and working at height.

Fluent Spanish is essential.

Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Available to start at short notice and able to commit to the site-based working pattern.

Working Arrangements


Accommodation will be provided for the assignment. A leased vehicle will be required for travel between the accommodation and the plant, with fuel costs covered.
