Contract Manager – Construction Project (Haiphong, Vietnam)

Location: Haiphong, Vietnam (Site-Based)

Contract Type: 18-month Contract (Potential Extension)

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day

About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Contract Manager to join a major industrial construction project in Haiphong, Vietnam. This is an excellent opportunity to work on the delivery of a large-scale manufacturing facility, supporting the project team in managing contractual matters, contractor claims and project compliance throughout the construction phase.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Director and project team, playing a key role in ensuring contractual obligations are effectively managed while supporting successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the administration of construction contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and assess contractor claims and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
• Monitor contractual compliance and identify commercial risks.
• Support negotiations and resolution of contractual issues with contractors and project stakeholders.
• Analyse project schedules and contractual documentation to support claim assessments.
• Maintain accurate contract records, correspondence and reporting.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, project management and commercial teams.

Requirements

• 3–5 years' experience in Contract Management, Commercial Management or Construction Claims.
• Experience working on international construction, industrial, infrastructure or energy projects.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts.
• Experience managing contractor claims and contract administration.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 for reviewing project schedules and supporting claims analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese (written and spoken).

Preferred Background

• Engineering or technical degree with subsequent experience in contract or commercial management.
• Experience on EPC, manufacturing, industrial, renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a site-based environment.

Location

This role is based full-time on site in Haiphong, Vietnam, supporting a major construction project.
