About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Supervisor to oversee and ensure the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards on a large-scale renewable energy project located in the Arequipa region of Peru. This is a key site-based position for a utility-scale onshore wind farm currently under development, with an expected capacity of over 200 MW.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise all site-based Health & Safety activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, international HSE standards, and company policies.
Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Provide HSE training and toolbox talks to contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
Liaise with construction teams, project managers, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Maintain and update HSE documentation, incident logs, and safety performance reports.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; ensure follow-up actions are completed.
Support environmental compliance efforts and sustainability initiatives on-site.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree or technical certification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE supervision, preferably in the energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
Proven experience on utility-scale projects, with preference given to candidates with wind or renewable energy experience.
Solid understanding of Peruvian HSE regulations and international safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001, OSHA, IFC standards).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Valid HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, SCTR) are a plus.
