Senior Planner - Environment, Planning & Land

Location: QLD (with travel to projects as required)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Planner to join our Environment, Planning & Land department. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of planning and environmental approvals across a portfolio of onshore renewable energy projects.

Role Summary:

  • Lead regulatory risk management and delivery for renewable energy projects.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve best for project outcomes.
  • Oversee project acquisition, development, construction, and commissioning stages.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to: Planning Lead
Secondary Reporting Line: Head of Environment, Planning & Land (APAC)

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning, Environmental Planning, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning and approvals for major Australian infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector and strong working knowledge of Queensland’s planning and environmental approvals frameworks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Screen and assess projects for regulatory, time, and cost risks.
  • Lead external and internal teams to deliver project milestones.
  • Communicate project health to stakeholders and contribute to project budgets and schedules.
