Sr. Project Superintendent – Data Center Construction
Location: Texas
Employment Type: Full-time | On-site
We are representing a leading U.S. construction contractor seeking an experienced Senior Project Superintendent to lead site delivery on a major mission-critical/data-center construction project in Temple, TX.
This is a senior field leadership opportunity for a construction professional who can take ownership of safety, schedule, quality, productivity, subcontractor performance, and the overall execution of a complex project from early works through commissioning and handover.
The opportunity
As Senior Project Superintendent, you will be the key on-site operational leader, coordinating field teams, trade partners, project management, design stakeholders, and the client team. You will drive a structured, safety-first approach while ensuring the project is delivered to programme, budget, and quality expectations.
The role is suited to someone with proven experience delivering large-scale, technically complex projects—ideally within data centers, mission-critical, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, healthcare, industrial, or similarly demanding environments.
Key responsibilities
Lead daily field operations across a major data-center construction project.
Own site safety, quality, productivity, schedule performance, and subcontractor coordination.
Develop and manage short-term and long-term construction plans, including weekly work plans and look-ahead schedules.
Maintain and update CPM schedules in partnership with the project management and planning teams.
Chair regular field coordination meetings with subcontractors, superintendents, and project stakeholders.
Review drawings, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, change documentation, purchase orders, and constructability items.
Identify design clashes, sequencing risks, access constraints, and programme issues early, driving practical solutions with the wider project team.
Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, logistics, and trade activities to maintain progress and site productivity.
Lead and mentor field superintendents, foremen, and subcontractor teams.
Ensure works are delivered in line with contractual requirements, approved quality plans, and site safety procedures.
Manage punch-list completion, turnover planning, systems start-up, commissioning readiness, and final handover activities.
Build strong working relationships with the owner, consultants, trade partners, and internal leadership team.
Required experience
Approximately 10+ years of construction supervision experience for Senior Project Superintendent-level consideration.
Proven track record leading major construction projects, ideally in the $50M+ range.
Experience on data centers or other complex, highly serviced, schedule-critical construction environments is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of construction methods, field logistics, sequencing, scheduling, cost awareness, quality management, and health and safety.
Demonstrable experience managing multiple subcontractors and self-perform work where applicable.
Ability to lead site teams, influence stakeholders, and maintain control in a fast-paced construction environment.
Strong communication, planning, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent technical training and relevant experience will also be considered.
Willingness and ability to work full-time on site in Temple, TX.
What’s on offer
Competitive base salary, paid weekly.
Performance-based bonus opportunity.
Comprehensive medical, wellness, and retirement benefits from day one.
401(k) and employee ownership participation.
Flexible paid time off.
Life, disability, and employee assistance benefits.
