The Opportunity
Spencer Ogden is supporting a leading organisation in the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) sector and is looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale, cutting-edge energy storage projects, translating complex engineering information into clear, professional documentation used across project delivery, commissioning and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain technical manuals, procedures, work instructions and system documentation for utility-scale BESS projects.
Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Commissioning and Service teams to gather and validate technical information.
Translate complex technical and engineering content into clear, structured documentation.
Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent and aligned with relevant quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
Proven Technical Writing experience within BESS, energy storage, renewable energy, electrical engineering or a related technical environment.
Strong ability to understand and communicate complex engineering concepts.
Experience working with technical drawings, specifications and engineering documentation.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong attention to detail and document management skills.
